On July 19, 2007, AFSCME Local 4041 member Manolo Saenz and AFSCME retiree Denise Kelley joined Herbert Perry of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare and Brenda Mitchell of the Alliance for Retired Americans at a press conference in Las Vegas, NV. They released a report compiled by the U.S.Action Education Fund showing that state taxpayers are subsidizing the insurance industry to the tune of $27 million a year.

They also called on members of Nevada’s congressional delegation to reign in this insurance industry boondoggle. Click on the links below to learn more.
