AFSCME President Hails President Clinton's Vision for America

— Gerald W. McEntee, the international president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), tonight issued the following comment in reaction to President Clinton's State of the Union address:

"The President has spelled out the challenges and the progress his Administration is making on issues that matter to America's working families. The President is right. The Republican leadership is wrong."
