How to file an OSHA complaint or request a NIOSH evaluation

First, you need to find out if you are covered by federal OSHA laws. All federal workers are covered by OSHA but other employees may be covered by state laws. You can find out if your state has an OSHA-approved plan by going either to the AFSCME Health and Safety Fact Sheet on Public Employee OSHA Laws, OSHA Web Site or to Safe Jobs Now.
