 AFSCME is the leading union representing employees working in institutional and community-based facilities serving the developmentally disabled and the mentally ill. We care for adults and children in state hospitals and community programs. We are psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, developmental aides, pharmacists, dieticians and food service workers. We work to provide the best care to every individual. We also work to ensure that quality care is available to all who need it.
