WHEREAS:

American-made, union products are made with pride, integrity, and quality materials; and

WHEREAS:

Union-made products are sold on a competitive market; and

WHEREAS:

International trade introduces products into our marketplace at competitive prices.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That the International Convention of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, convening in Chicago on June 23, 1986, states its support of public education and advertising programs to buy union-made in the USA products; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

That the International Union and its subordinate bodies affirm their policies to buy American-made union products.
