PEOPLE Presidents Club/VIP

Resolution No. 93
27th International Convention
June 23-27, 1986
Chicago, IL

The Presidents Club, established in 1982, together with the VIP level established in 1985, is a focal point for all AFSCME members to identify themselves as AFSCME political activists by joining the Presidents Club/VIP through a minimum contribution of $35 and $50 per year respectively; and

Since its inauguration the PEOPLE Presidents Club/VIP has proven to be an incentive for AFSCME members to sign up for PEOPLE checkoff, and is largely responsible for PEOPLE's fund raising success during the past four years; and

More than 8,000 AFSCME members and their families have joined the Presidents Club/VIP in support of AFSCME's political and legislative goals.

That all AFSCME councils, locals and Presidents Club/VIP members join in an effort to double the number of AFSCME's corps of political activists by renewing their membership and encouraging their brothers and sisters to become members of the Presidents Club/VIP.
