WHEREAS:

Joe Bolt has served AFSCME since 1965 in capacities ranging from organizer to Director of Indiana Council 62 and finally as International Vice President for the Central District; and

WHEREAS:

During nearly three decades of struggle of behalf of the Hoosier state's public employees Brother Bolt led AFSCME locals through strikes, won grievance procedures for state employees, and after years of unremitting effort saw the dawn of collective bargaining rights for Indiana state employees;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That on behalf of the entire union, the International Executive Board expresses its deep gratitude to Brother Joe Bolt and wishes him a life that continues to be distinguished by dedication and accomplishment.
