AFSCME members are on the front lines of our children's education as kids come back to school
Learning never stops, and neither do AFSCME members who serve their communities by developing educational programs for our children as many of them return to school following Labor Day weekend.
When students are on summer break, AFSCME school personnel like Ohio member Kimberly Lee-Carey make sure they have the resources to keep on learning.
And when students come back to school, AFSCME members make sure students are eager and ready to learn.
Lee-Carey is a librarian instructional assistant and member of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME Local 4). She encourages children to keep up with their reading over the summer holidays.
"Reading never stops," she says.
And neither do AFSCME members who are involved in your children’s education.
