In video, AFSCME president lauds American Rescue Plan, but says more needs to be done

AFSCME President Lee Saunders released a video commemorating the one-year anniversary of the passage of the American Rescue Plan. AFSCME members fought hard for the ARP, which provided $350 billion for state and local governments. But much of that money has yet to be spent. Saunders urged AFSCME members to pressure their state and local officials to invest ARP dollars in improving public services and in the everyday heroes who have been risking their lives throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to protect and strengthen their communities.
