As a lifelong Republican, I believe deeply that freedom is our most important American value. But I believe that freedom is for every American, not just the billionaires. And as a working man in a dangerous job, I value my freedom to join together with my co-workers in a strong union. …
Now a handful of billionaires want to make it harder to keep our unions strong. They’ve funded a legal case that’s gone to the U.S. Supreme Court, which heard oral arguments in the case on Feb. 26. If they win, 40 years of settled law that has kept me safer at work and able to live a modestly middle-class life could go right out the window.
