At a time when our communities are under attack, our voices are more important than ever.
That’s why federal workers are speaking out. Since this administration took office, many of them have struggled to do their jobs and find the resources to serve their communities.
AFSCME represents thousands of executive-branch employees. Their work includes promoting public safety at the Department of Justice, flight safety at the Federal Aviation Administration, our food systems at the Department of Agriculture, civic participation at AmeriCorps and more.
Many AFSCME members are also state and local workers whose government agencies receive federal funding. They, too, have faced funding cuts and feared for the viability of the public services they provide.
But AFSCME members are fighting back. They know that public service workers are our communities’ first line of defense.
These brave workers are raising their voices to call out the attacks against the public services we depend on. Their stories speak to the unbreakable commitment of public service workers to make their communities better.
