Thousands of people participated in the Working People’s Day of Action this past weekend across the country, two days before the U.S. Supreme Court heard Janus v. AFSCME Council 31, a case aimed at eroding our basic freedoms. The case was brought by billionaires and corporate CEOs who have rigged the economic and political systems against the rest of us.
Among the freedoms under jeopardy is the freedom to come together in strong unions and fight the power structure that’s intent on keeping working people down.
We’re not taking this any longer.
Tens of thousands of working people in at least 30 cities took to the streets this past Saturday to demand an end to our nation’s rigged economy and political system. It happened in places like New York; Washington; Philadelphia; Chicago; Memphis, Tennessee, and many more. What follows is a gallery of images from Day of Action events from various cities and communities.
