SCOTUS rulings signal what’s at stake in 2020

AFSCME President Lee Saunders issued the following statement in response to today’s Supreme Court decisions undermining both women’s and workers’ rights:

“Today’s Supreme Court decisions are disappointing and troubling attacks on the rights, freedoms and health of women and our nation’s educators. No institution should be given free license to discriminate against its workers and women should be free to make their own health care decisions without their employers’ infringement. These decisions are alarm bells, signaling what is at stake if we fail to turn out decisively in 2020. We can’t change what was decided today, but we can organize to protect our rights, freedoms and health care.”
