AFSCME’s Saunders: Those lost in the line of duty ‘will never be forgotten’

WASHINGTON — AFSCME President Lee Saunders released the following statement in remembrance of officers killed in the line of duty for the 33rd Annual Candlelight Vigil:

“This evening, the names of 701 fallen officers will be formally added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. We take this moment to honor these courageous heroes who gave everything to protect us, who put the safety of their communities above their own. And we extend our deepest condolences to their families. The service and sacrifice of your loved ones will never be forgotten, and we continue to support those who serve today.”
