AFSCME’s Saunders: White House report on worker organizing demonstrates ‘deep commitment’ to working people
WASHINGTON — Today, the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment delivered their highly anticipated report to President Joe Biden. AFSCME President Lee Saunders issued the following statement in response:
“Once again, the Biden-Harris administration has demonstrated its deep commitment to helping workers raise their voice on the job and claim a seat at the table. Today’s report from the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment delivers innovative recommendations that put the federal government squarely on the side of working people, in addition to establishing federal agencies as a model for both public and private sector employers. We look forward to working closely with the administration in the months ahead on implementation of these provisions.”
