About 20,000 state workers in Nevada are close to getting collective bargaining rights for the first time ever after fighting for those rights for two decades.

As the only public service workers in Nevada without the right to collectively bargain, SB135 will give state employees a seat at the table to advocate for the communities we serve.

Senate Bill 135 would provide 20,000 state employees with the freedom to collectively bargain on issues like workplace safety, benefits and compensation.

Feeling empowered as they fight for collective bargaining rights, some state-employed nurses in Nevada are taking steps to improve their working conditions.
